This is a view taken about 40 miles from our house up Cook Inlet
going to Kenai and Seward. If you look close you can see a building,
before the Alaska Earth Quake in 1964 this was the Portage service
station but after the Quake this land dropped far enought that when
the tide comes in the building is now srounded by tide water. This
picture was taken in the Spring of 1969. |
